How is it performed?
Vaginoplasty surgically tightens a vaginal canal and surrounding muscles that have widened after childbirth or with age. Excess mucosa is removed from the back wall of the vagina and the underlying muscle and connective tissue are repaired with stitches. If needed, the perineum is also reshaped in the same session (perineoplasty).
Who is it suitable for?
- People with vaginal laxity after childbirth
- Those who have completed their family
- Those whose general health is suitable for surgery
