Face/neck mesotherapy

Injecting blends of vitamins, minerals and hyaluronic acid into the middle layer of the skin.

In face and neck mesotherapy, skin-care ingredients are delivered in small amounts into the middle layer of the skin with very fine needles. It is usually planned as a series of sessions.

How is it performed?

Cocktails that may contain hyaluronic acid, vitamins, amino acids and minerals are applied to the upper layers of the skin as micro-injections with very fine needles or special devices. The formulation is chosen according to the skin's needs, and several sessions a few weeks apart are usually planned.

Who is it suitable for?

  • People with dry, dull skin or fine lines
  • Those who are not pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Those without an active infection at the treatment site

Consultation and preparation

  • An examination takes place before treatment, and your expectations, medical history and any previous treatments are discussed.
  • Blood thinners, aspirin or certain supplements can increase the risk of bruising; please be sure to mention them.
  • Treatment may be postponed if there is active acne, a cold sore or infection in the area.
  • It is advisable to schedule treatment a few weeks before an important event rather than in the days just before.

Recovery

Small bumps and redness usually settle within a day. Make-up should be avoided on the first day.

Aftercare advice

  • Do not massage or press on the treated area on the first day.
  • Avoid intense exercise, saunas, steam baths and excessive heat for the first 24–48 hours.
  • Cold compresses can be used for mild swelling or bruising.
  • If you notice increasing pain, blanching or discolouration in the treated area, contact us without delay.
