How is it performed?
Hybrid fillers combine hyaluronic acid with a biostimulator such as calcium hydroxylapatite. They are applied with a needle or cannula; the hyaluronic acid provides hydration and volume support early on, while the biostimulator component aims to stimulate collagen production.
Who is it suitable for?
- People with reduced skin quality and mild volume loss
- Those who are not pregnant or breastfeeding
- Those without an active infection at the treatment site
Consultation and preparation
- An examination takes place before treatment, and your expectations, medical history and any previous treatments are discussed.
- Blood thinners, aspirin or certain supplements can increase the risk of bruising; please be sure to mention them.
- Treatment may be postponed if there is active acne, a cold sore or infection in the area.
- It is advisable to schedule treatment a few weeks before an important event rather than in the days just before.
Recovery
Daily life can be resumed immediately. Mild swelling and redness may last a few days.
