Calcium/PCL/PLLA injections

Injectable treatments that support collagen production in the skin.

Products containing calcium hydroxylapatite, polycaprolactone (PCL) and poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) stimulate the body's own collagen production where they are injected. The effect develops gradually, and several sessions are usually planned.

How is it performed?

Products containing calcium hydroxylapatite, polycaprolactone (PCL) or poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) are injected and spread across the treatment area with a needle or cannula. Over time, these substances aim to stimulate the body's own collagen production. The choice of product and number of sessions depend on the area and skin quality.

Who is it suitable for?

  • People with thinning skin and loss of elasticity
  • Those who are not pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Those without an active infection at the treatment site

Consultation and preparation

  • An examination takes place before treatment, and your expectations, medical history and any previous treatments are discussed.
  • Blood thinners, aspirin or certain supplements can increase the risk of bruising; please be sure to mention them.
  • Treatment may be postponed if there is active acne, a cold sore or infection in the area.
  • It is advisable to schedule treatment a few weeks before an important event rather than in the days just before.

Recovery

Daily life can be resumed immediately. With some products, massaging the area afterwards is recommended.

Aftercare advice

  • Do not massage or press on the treated area on the first day.
  • Avoid intense exercise, saunas, steam baths and excessive heat for the first 24–48 hours.
  • Cold compresses can be used for mild swelling or bruising.
  • If you notice increasing pain, blanching or discolouration in the treated area, contact us without delay.

Possible risks and complications

  • Bruising and swelling at the injection site
  • Nodules or irregularities
  • Allergic reaction
  • Vascular occlusion (rare)

Frequently asked questions

How do biostimulators differ from fillers?

Conventional fillers add volume directly. Biostimulators aim for an effect that develops over time by stimulating collagen production, supporting skin quality and structure.

How many sessions are needed?

Depending on the product, usually 1–3 sessions a few weeks apart are planned.

Who performs the treatment?

All treatments are performed by Op. Dr. Emre Özbey following an examination and assessment.

Can I return to work after treatment?

After most injectable treatments you can return to daily life and work the same day. Mild swelling or bruising may occur, so plan accordingly.
